Rosemin Hendriks

PORTRAIT ARTIST

Hendriks herschept zichzelf in oneindig veel wezens.

Three day ‘paint like Rembrandt’ masterclass

2,3,4 January 2020 by Anouk Bijsterbosch and Lydia Szubert

What you will learn during the intensive three day workshop is the method that Rembrandt used to create his paintings. You will be using the same colours and materials that he used. On the first day you will make a small master copy study of one of Rembrandt's works. You should then be warmed up for the second day with the live model in classical clothing and chiaroscuro lighting. The student must complete the final painting, from the grisaille to the last layers during these last two days. With two instructors present who have both been trained at a classical art academy, there will be plenty of personalised guidance and instruction for each student.

If you want to learn how Rembrandt painted, or how to paint from life in oil paint with a live model present this course is perfect for you. Your level of experience isn’t important for this masterclass, however your dedication to improve your skill are!
